Art Materials to Bring

This list is only a suggestion, if you already paint and know what you want to bring, then bring the materials you are used to.

Paints: 
I use Windsor and Newton professional they are my preferred watercolours to use, but if you have one you like working with or already have some at home please use what you want. This list is only a guideline.
The colours I like to use in my palette are. Titanium white. Paynes Grey. Lemon Yellow, Cadmium Yellow, Cadmium Orange, Alizeran Crimson, Quinachridone Magenta, Cadmuim Red, Manganese Blue, Cerulean Blue, Cobalt Blue, Ultramarine (blue) Prussian Blue. Sometimes turquoise can come in handy. I mix most of the colours myself then I know I can get the colour I want.

Art Paper:
Sketch paper for tryouts quite good quality, then a Canson or similar for your daily painting. 300gms or 140 1bs fine 24 x 32 cm grain cold pressed. Then if you want to have a some really good quality paper for a couple of paintings buy Arches 300gm cold pressed and either the same size or larger maybe 31cm x 41 cm.

Pencils:
Bring at least three pencils. HB. 2B and 4B

Paintbrushes:
Makes. Raphael. Winsor and Newton. Petit Gris, Kolinskey. It is usally best to buy sable or petit gris water colour brushes for the round brushes. Sizes seem to vary country to country.

Round Brushes: Sizes 1, 2, 4 and 6

Flat brushes can be synthetic: Sizes 10. 18. 22

1 rigger brush

1 erasor, 1 pencil sharpner

I provide any extras you may need, or if you run out of any of your materials at cost price.

I also provide tables, chairs, easles, boards, water containers, mixing palettes, watercolour sponges, water sprays, baskets for carrying your materials and kitchen paper, so please don’t fill your suitcases with materials you don’t need to bring!

What to bring otherwise:
Swimming Costumes. mosquito repellant and cream. Sun protection cream Sun hat, cool dresses and shorts and just light weight clothes. A pair of summer shoes along with trainers and of course anything else you want to bring.
