Art Materials to Bring

[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]

Please bring with you:

1 sketch pad

1 or 2 rough grain water colour pads either or 26cmx36cm and 30cmx40 cm either Arches, Canson or Windsor & Newton. I am not sure of the makes of water colour pads in the USA but it is useful to get a good quality paper for best results.

1 simple water colour box (tablets) which needs to contain:

Lemon yellow, cadmium yellow deep, cadmium orange, alizeran crimson, cadmium red deep, ultramarine, cobalt blue, prussian blue or indigo and gouache titanium white if you like to use it.

Some of the other colours I like to use: Quinacridone Gold, Quinacridone Magenta, cerulean blue, manganese blue, turquoize green, burnt sienna and paynes grey. (You don’t need these colours but they do enhance the palette.

Pencils, 2b and 4b or softer if you prefer, it is wiser not to use hard pencils with water colours.

Erasers if you use them.

Paint brushes: I large, 1 medium, 1 small paint brush, I rigger and 2 flat 1 small, 1 medium paint brushes.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]

I Provide

• Outdoor easy-to-carry tables and chairs
• Jam jars, water container
• Table easels and standing easels (if you wish), spare sketch p aper, spare paints (only if necessary), sponges, kitchen paper and sharpener.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image img_size=”overlap-xlarge” alignment=”center” image=”411″][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]I also have plenty of rubbers, ink pens and inks if anyone wants to use a little mixed media.

I also carry note books, a general file with a daily description of what we are going to be studying and descriptions of basic techniques, colour mixing, perspective, brush use, masking tape, rubber masking etcetera. Pretty market straw baskets to carry you art materials in.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
