Weekends amongst the vines

Hidden by the vines in glorious multicoloured autumnal hues, learn to paint these dancing vines, these graceful leaves giving their all before their final winter days.

The weather is still beautifully warm, so now is a good time to come to my weekend workshops.

Scroll down for more information about what you will learn during these day classes and you will see an overview of the schedule.

What you will learn and what you can expect during the days.

Arrive at 9.30 am so you have time to get set up. From 10 am – 12.30 pm I will teach you watercolour techniques and help you to understand drawing, composition and painting vines. I will also teach you a few tricks. Lunch will be 12.30 – 1.30pm.

1.30 pm – 4.00pm We will go into the vines just behind our house and with as much help as you need from me you will paint your own painting to take home with you. A nice cuppa before you go and chat about your paintings and suggestions to see you through until the next time you have a lesson.

Again arrive at 9.30 am in time to set up for 10 am. Sundays will be full painting days.

I will start off by demonstrating different techniques. We will then do a series of warm up exercises. Starting with very fast painting on sketch paper to loosen up. Then quick drawing and painting exercises with your opposite hand. You will be suprised by the beauty of you painting. Your mind has less control over the opposite hand so therefore the painting can be more natural and less controlled.

We will stop for lunch at 12.30 pm and 1.30 pm and after I will leave you to paint your own painting for the afternoon, only helping you when needed.

We will stop at 4 pm and talk about our day and have tea before you go.

We have two apartments both with two bedrooms and shared bathroom, they are rustic and cosy and both have their own kitchen. We can sleep four singles or one couple and three singles.

I look forward to hearing from you.
