Late October vines, with the odd grape left behind.

I often hear people say that they can’t paint, that they have never painted or drawn before, that they don’t have a creative bone in thier body. They have a desire to paint but are afraid to. After a week with Paint Provence with Tess they find that they can paint and can draw and what’s more they enjoy it. They leave happy with paintings to show their friends and family and even take up water colour classes when they get home. This could be you too! Paint Provence with Tess offers teaching a all levels. Here is what we can help teach you.

With Paint Provence

Discover the magic of painting in nature and creating your own part of it; the alchemy of water, paint, paper, sun and breeze.; composition and perspective (which takes some understanding). You will learn all the basics of water colour techniques in the first few days and will continue to be taught techniques all through the course.  You will learn about colour and be taught techniques such as how to mix, and how best to use your brushes and paint to get that extra special effect.  We only have four – five maximum students on the course so you get plenty of one on one tuition to help you find your own unique way of painting. Take home the knowledge and techniques you need to practise and improve on.

Paint Provence Paints Plein-Air

Concentrating hard in the vineyards.

From the moment Paint Provence with Tess picks you up from the airport to the moment we drop you off, you will be catered for. Pretty and comfortable accommodation, a swimming pool to relax by and great food cooked by our personal chef. In the evening we eat in the glow of the setting sun on the terrace under the medlar tree with the sound of sleepy crickets and bees lulling us into a serene mood after our days painting. These fun and instructive painting trips include wine tasting, visiting markets and painting in beautiful places with fantastic picnics (which are often the envy of all around us!).
